Safety First
is our mantra at Bruce Peninsula Helicopters. Each passenger is given a thorough briefing about every aspect of the experience. Our aim is to make you as knowledgeable and comfortable as possible before the flight begins so you can concentrate on truly enjoying the experience.

You’ll be flying in the Schweizer 300C, a three place (two passenger) helicopter. This model was originally built as a military training aircraft so its design had to be rugged and durable. Years of continuous testing and improvement have resulted in a tried and true aircraft which is considered one of the safest helicopters in the world.

George

Chief Pilot and Owner, George Burnside has been flying for 30 years as a bush pilot in some of Canada’s most remote regions and as a corporate pilot flying out of the country’s busiest airports. He is licensed to fly several types of helicopters as well as fixed-wing aircraft.
Born and raised next door in Grey County, George first explored the Bruce on the ground. As a teenager he spent his summers at Sauble Beach, explored the back roads of the Peninsula as the “Good Humour Man,” delivering ice cream treats and popsicles to the area’s many stores, lodges and resorts and played in a rock band at the legendary Copper Kettle Dance Hall in Stokes Bay on the west shore.
He now combines his two loves by sharing the beauty and history of the Bruce Peninsula with others through the unique experience of helicopter flight.
